HomeWorld Educational Resources
Science Ingeration | System Thinking | Authentic Learning
HomeWorld Educational Resources develops evidence-based, effective new learning tools to help all US students achieve their full potential in science equitably. Currently, we are focusing on developing the 3x3 Science Curriculum Enhancement Program, which includes an evidence-based effective curriculum enhancement model, a next-generation system-based science learning tool, a science educational ambassador program, and a design-based teacher professional learning program.
Our goal is to improve public science literacy, focusing on Earth System thinking to fight climate change and environmental issues as a society and achieve sustainability of human society.
Our Strategies:
-
Curriculum: Integration of STEM education with Earth System Science and Cutting-Edge Research.
-
Tool: Noval Visual and Event-Based Earth System Science Educational Materials and Tools.
-
Team: K-12 Teacher Development via Authentic Learning with Real-World Scientists, industry, and Educational Experts.

System-Based Sci Ed Design for Transformative Science Learning for All
Earth systems are the world we live. Understanding how Earth systems work and fostering Earth system thinking are essential skills for future citizens to achieve sustainable development of the human race. Thus, how to take advantage of real-world examples in Earth systems is the key to transformative science education. HomeWorld Ed Res is working with six universities to develop a 3x3 Science Program to achieve an Earth-System-based science education.
What We Offer
We are conducting rigorous research, designing innovative technology, and building real-world research projects for scientists, teachers, and students to team up.
Innovative
Systems Visual Learning Tool
The 3x3 Integrative
Learning Platform. Accessible, scalable, and feasible solution for implement most effective learning strategies.
Evidence-Driven Cutting Edge Ed Strategies for Curriculum Enhancement
The statistical effective strategies that achieve self-determination theory and three-dimentional learning in K-12 science classrooms.
TPACK Teacher Professional Development and Implementation
Support
3x3 Design-Based Professoinal Learning applies a comprehensive method, including Technology, Pedagogical and Content training and design-based implementation research experience with teachers. The training is teacher-centered and enhance their curriculum with cutting-edge research knowledge and innovative technology.
Real-World Scientists, Students and Teacher Research Team
We also promote the network of real-world scientists with students and their teachers to co-work on authentic problems in the real-world. The research projects are either part of the scientists current projects or students created.
HomeWorld Educational Resources Y2023
Earth systems contain all kinds of processes and events that are relevant to STEM education. Without overall science literacy, successful environmental education cannot be achieved. HomeWorld Ed Res launched in Dec 2022, and 2023 is the preparation year. HomeWorld's strategy focuses on research, technology, and networks. Therefore, Y2023 HomeWorld mostly worked on developing Earth-system-science-contexted integrative educational research projects, designing the new Earth-system-based visualization technology, and growing our K-12 ed experts and scientists network. Our Y2023 target community is first-year middle school students, especially those from historically marginalized communities.
